(Former Prime Minister of France (1931 - 1932) and Banker) Casimir Pierre Périer was a prominent French banker, mine owner, and politician. As a highly successful businessman, he made major contributions to the economic development of France in the initial phases of industrialization. In politics, he led the liberal-conservative Resistance Party in support of the monarchy. He became the minister of interior in 1831. Sadly, he died the following year.
