Ezra Michael Koenig is an American musician, singer, songwriter, radio personality, and screenwriter well known as the co-founder, lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist of American rock band ‘Vampire Weekend.’ He started penning down music at just ten years of age. He along with his friend Wes Miles, with whom he formed an experimental band, ‘The Sophisticuffs,’ worked on several music projects. His early musical endeavours also saw him forming the rap band, ‘L'Homme Run,’ with Andrew Kalaidjian and Chris Tomson. He also worked with the American indie rock bands ‘Dirty Projectors’ and ‘The Walkmen.’ His real breakthrough came after forming ‘Vampire Weekend’ with Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson, and Chris Baio. Koenig is the creator and host of the Apple Music fortnightly radio show, ‘Time Crisis with Ezra Koenig.’ He is also the creator of the American-Japanese co-produced animated television series, ‘Neo Yokio.’
