Adam Savage

Description: (Industrial designer)

A master of many trades, Adam Savage, started his career in his early childhood days, working on his father’s show ‘Sesame Street’. The child prodigy was involved in many acting assignments and had also taken formal training in acting. But inspired by the field of design he abandoned his acting career after making some appearances in theatre. He then focused on graphic design and creating special effects for movies. As an educator, he also teaches pupils about model-making. He has also anchored for a number of TV shows and events including the ‘Amazing Meeting’ and the annual event of ‘Make’ magazine. Adam is best known for his Discovery Channel show ‘MythBusters’. The show was the perfect amalgamation of technology and acting for Adam who is a technology freak. The show provides him the opportunity to test the truth behind the various scenarios presented in movies and the like. For his efforts to popularize science and technology, he was conferred with a doctorate by the ‘University of Twente’. He has also contributed to special effects in popular movies like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Matrix’. The actor-anchor is also interested in costume designing and strives for originality while creating a costume.
