Shin Lim

Description: (Canadian-American Magician Known for His Use of Card Manipulation and Sleight of Hand)

Shin Lim is a Canadian–American magician, known for his elaborate use of the close-up card trick and sleight of hand. He is a trained pianist, but he chose to be a magician after a wrist surgery stalled his music career. Lim began his career by posting his magic trick videos on his 'YouTube' channel. Subsequently, a grand Macau tour gave him international exposure. Soon, offers to perform at famous venues started pouring in. Lim transitioned from being a performer to a celebrity magician, after successfully fooling the American entertainer duo Penn and Teller on their show 'Fool Us.' He initially focused on his tricks and mostly remained silent in his routines. After he won 'America's Got Talent,' his routines became more performance-based. Lim is the only 'America's Got Talent' participant in the world to have won the show twice. He is a self-taught magician who compares his routines to the movie 'Inception.'
