Hilary Farr is a Canada-based home designer, TV host, and actor. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she had a keen artistic side to her personality ever since she was a kid. Her mother was a home decorator and an avid traveler. Thus, Hilary developed a keen interest in the same when she was in her early teenage years. Hilary was also interested in performing arts and participated in theater as a kid. Hilary’s career began when she moved to Los Angeles and renovated many houses there. She also worked on various films, designing sets and engaging in art direction. Simultaneously, her interest in acting made her audition for a few roles in the early 1970s. She appeared in small roles in films such as ‘Layout for 5 Models,’ ‘Sex Farm,’ ‘Never Mind the Quality, Feel the Width,’ and ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show.’ She has primarily worked as an interior designer in countries such as Australia, the UK, and the US. Since 2008, she has been appearing as a co-host on the reality TV show ‘Love It or List It.’
