Robert Kazinsky is the professional name of the British actor Robert John Appleby. He is best known for the role of ex-military man ‘Sean Slater’ in the BBC series ‘EastEnders,’ which earned him 23 award nominations, of which he won 7 awards. Born in Sussex, he grew up in Brighton in England. Interested in theater right from his school days, Kazinsky graduated from the ‘Guildford School of Acting’ and took up his grandfather’s middle name for his acting career. He got recognition with the series ‘Dream Team’ followed by ‘EastEnders,’ which fetched him accolades and awards. He was suspended from ‘EastEnders’ for sending obscene messages and photographs to a glamour model and his contract was later not renewed. Kazinsky got the role of a pilot in the World War II film ‘Red Tails,’ following which he moved to Los Angeles. After appearing in a few guest roles, Kazinsky appeared in horror series ‘True Blood’ and as pilot ‘Chuck Hansen’ in the sci-fi film ‘Pacific Rim.’ He appeared as ‘Randy’ in comedy ‘Hot Pursuit’ and as ‘Orgrim’ in the fantasy-adventure film ‘Warcraft.’ In 2019, he briefly reprised role of ‘Slater’ in ‘EastEnders.’
