Judy Geeson is a British-American actress who appeared in various films and TV shows during the 1960s and 1970s. Originally trained to be a ballet dancer, Geeson gave up ballet when it began to caused her frequent headaches. She decided to pursue acting and was seen in several films and TV series as a teen actor. She first appeared in the TV show ‘Dixon of Dock Green’ and was later seen in popular series, such as ‘Alexander Graham Bell’ and ‘Secret Agent’, in guest and supporting roles. She was also involved in theatre, essaying notable roles in many plays. Her big breakthrough came in 1967 when she was cast as the leading lady in ‘To Sir, with Love’, a hit drama film starring Sidney Poitier. The movie’s success established Geeson as a bankable actress and she started receiving many more offers. In the 1970s and 1980s, she appeared in many acclaimed TV series, including ‘Murder, She Wrote’, ‘Tales of the Unexpected’, ‘Breakaway’, ‘Poldark’. She also worked in the movies ‘10 Rillington Place’ and ‘One of Those Things’. While leading roles dried up in her later years, Geeson’s love for acting didn’t fade, and she continued to act in minor roles in series like ‘Gilmore Girls’ and ‘Star Trek’. Her most recent appearance was in the slasher movie ‘31’.
