He is best remembered for playing the antagonist in two Mad Max movies: Toecutter in Mad Max and Joe in Mad Max: Fury Road. Hugh Keays-Byrne is also remembered for his performance in one of the episodes of Rush, which earned him the prestigious Logie Award for Best Actor in 1977.
