Lana Wood is an American actor and film producer, best known for her performance as “Bond girl” ‘Plenty O'Toole’ in 'Diamonds Are Forever' (1971), opposite Sean Connery. In the early days of her career, she mostly had brief or supporting roles in films, which starred her superstar older sister, Natalie. Lana escaped the initial struggle of an actor because of Natalie's overwhelming success. Lana then made her first prominent appearance in 'The Searchers,' after which she successfully came out of her sister's shadow and found her place in the industry. However, unlike the glamorous and sophisticated Natalie, Lana garnered popularity mostly because of her "bad girl" image and troubled characters. She utilized her sex appeal for a 'Playboy' shoot, which accelerated her career further and earned her the role of ‘Plenty O'Toole.’ Lana worked as an actor for 2 decades. Following this, her stardom began to diminish. She retired and focused on film production. Lana has also written a controversial biography of Natalie, ‘Natalie, A Memoir by Her Sister,’ and has contributed to a few more related projects. Lana is an avid animal lover.
