Cameron Monaghan is an American actor and model who is best known for his role in the successful series ‘Shameless.’ Born in California and raised in Florida, Cameron started his career at the age of 3. When his mother realized he was interested in modeling, she started sending his pictures to various modeling agencies. This led the young boy to start working as a model. Upon growing up, he decided to make a career in the entertainment industry. In 2002, he made his acting debut with the film ‘The Wishing Stone.’ He gained more prominence with his TV debut in the TV film ‘The Music Man.’ Cameron was then selected to play a supporting role in the sitcom ‘Malcolm in the Middle.’ In 2011, Cameron was offered a role in the series ‘Shameless,’ which proved to be a career-defining role for him. Cameron then continued to essay key roles in drama series such as ‘Gotham’ and ‘Mercy Street.’ He has made appearances in films such as ‘Vampire Academy,’ ‘Another Harvest Moon,’ and ‘Mall.’ He has won a ‘Young Artist Award’ for his performance in ‘Malcolm in the Middle.’
