Eric Dane is an American actor who rose to fame after starring in the famous television series ‘Grey's Anatomy.’ The hunky actor, who became famous as Dr. Mark Sloan (Dr. McSteamy) in the series has also acted in several successful and multi-starrer films in his career. It was during his school days that Dane was bitten by the acting bug. Previously he had been more interested in water polo. He burst into Hollywood after acting in a TV movie named ‘Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story.’ It was a military movie with serious themes like homosexuality. While most of his fans are fond of watching him in ‘Grey's Anatomy’ as Dr. Mark Sloan, he had also donned the hat of a doctor in the ABC medical drama ‘Gideon's Crossing’ where his character was named Dr. Wyatt Cooper.
