Kathy Najimy is an American actress, writer and activist, who rose to prominence for her movie roles of sister Mary Patrick in ‘Sister Act’, Mary Sanderson in ‘Hocus Pocus’ and the evil queen Grimhilde in ‘Descendants’. She has an equally impressive career as a TV actress. Some of her best-known roles on the small screen include ‘Chicago Hope’, ‘Veronica’s Closet’ and ‘Veep’. She is also famous for her voice acting in animated series like ‘BoJack Horseman’, ‘King of the Hill’; and movies like ‘WALL-E’ and ‘Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy!’. Apart from being a popular actress, Kathy is a renowned activist as well. She has been an outspoken advocate for issues like equal rights, civil rights, body image, LGBT rights and AIDS awareness, in addition to being a member of the ‘Time’s Up’, a movement against sexual harassment.
