Mariya Putina is the elder of the two daughters of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and his former wife, Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Shkrebneva. Mariya’s younger sister is a renowned acrobat. Both of Putin’s daughters were homeschooled after he became the president. Being the daughter of the “First Man of the Nation,” Mariya has always been kept away from the media. Throughout her time at several universities, her real identity was never revealed. Mariya was heavily targeted by protesters after the bombing of a Malaysian flight in the Ukrainian sky. She is believed to be married to a Dutch named Jorrit Faassen.
