Randolph Mantooth is a well-known American actor. He has worked in television, documentaries, theatre as well as on the big screen. Mantooth was born in Sacramento, California, in the US. He studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, after which he was discovered by a talent agent of Universal Studios, while he was acting in a play named ‘Philadelphia, Here I Come’. He soon started appearing in guest roles in TV shows such as ‘Marcus Welby, MD’, ‘Alias Smith and Jones’, and ‘Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law’. His most significant work was in the action adventure medical drama ‘Emergency!’ which aired between 1972 and 1977. He appeared in all six seasons, in one of the main roles. The series has received generally positive reviews. He has also appeared in a few feature films such as ‘Agent Red’ and ‘Killer Holiday’. Other than acting, Mantooth is also a regular spokesperson for the ‘International Association of Firefighters’, as well as the ‘International Association of Fire Chiefs’ for health and safety or firefighters. He has received several awards as well for his work.
