Ryan DuWayne Bader is an accomplished American mixed martial artist (MMA) and the present Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion. A former fighter for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the Light Heavyweight division, he is presently signed with Bellator MMA. After a successful stint in amateur wrestling that included two state championships and a fourth rank in wrestling nationwide while in high school, and three Pac-10 Conference Championships during college he entered the mixed martial arts scene. His accomplishments with UFC include winning The Ultimate Fighter 8 Light Heavyweight Tournament in 2008 and earning the ‘Submission of the Night’ and ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus awards in 2013 and 2016 respectively. His all-inclusive record with UFC in the Light Heavyweight division is 15-5. He signed with Bellator MMA in 2017 and the same year in June he beat Phil Davis via split decision to bag the Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship. So far, his MMA record shows 23 wins out of 28 of which 11 were won by decision, 8 by knockout and 4 by submission.
