Liz Vassey is an American actress, best known for her performance as ‘Wendy Simms’ in the widely popular crime-drama series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.’ Though she has many popular roles to her credit, her longest run on TV to date has been as ‘Wendy Simms’ on ‘CSI.’ Vassey started as a child artist on stage at an early age of 9. Theater came as a boon for young Liz, who grappled with the curse of ill health throughout her childhood. Encouraged and supported by her mother, Vassey kept her head straight and never wavered, unlike many child actors. She got her first notable work on TV when she was 16, in the popular soap ‘All My Children.’ It became the stepping stone for the rest of her career. Some of her most appreciated performances to date have been as ‘Liz’ in ‘ER,’ ‘Kathy Baker’ in ‘Maximum Bob,’ and as ‘Captain Liberty’ in the live-action adaptation of the comic ‘Tick,’ titled ‘The Tick.’ She also appeared in one of the best comedies on TV to date, ‘Two and a Half Men.’ After co-authoring an episode on ‘CSI,’ Vassey’s inclination toward writing took precedence over her career in acting. For the past few years, she has successfully sold two of her pilots to ‘Universal Television.’ She has also directed a documentary named ‘The Human Race,’ featuring senior citizens who run cross-country marathons.
