Tara Setmayer is an American political commentator and former GOP Communications Director on Capitol Hill who presently appears on CNN and also contributes to ABC News. Known for her "tell it like it is" style of commentary, she describes herself as a "sane conservative" and has earned the reputation of being an outspoken conservative critic of Donald Trump. She has regularly appeared on CNN's news analysis shows and political panels including 'New Day', 'Erin Burnett OutFront', 'Anderson Cooper 360°' and 'CNN Tonight with Don Lemon'. She has also appeared on ABC's 'The View' and 'Good Morning America', and HBO's 'Real Time with Bill Maher'. Apart from television appearances, she has written for 'Cosmopolitan', 'The Daily Beast' and 'CNN.com'. She was previously a guest-host on SiriusXM's Patriot and P.O.TU.S. channels, and currently hosts the 'Honestly Speaking with Tara' podcast.
