Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the England national team and the Premier League club Liverpool. He spent his youth career at the Southampton Academy before joining the club's senior team, for which he scored nine goals in 36 appearances in one season. He was subsequently signed by Arsenal, where he spent six seasons of his senior club career, scoring 20 goals and numerous assists from 198 appearances. He also had major contributions to Arsenal's FA Cup win twice. Following his recent transfer to Liverpool, he has scored three goals from 28 games. He was part of the English national team for the UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He is the second youngest player ever to represent England in the European Championships.
