Allison DuBois is an American psychic, medium and author, most noted for the TV show ‘Medium’ that was based on her. She claims to have helped law enforcement officials across the U.S. in locating missing persons and solving crimes based on her psychic abilities. She is also a ‘New York Times’ bestselling author, having written five books. She claims that she discovered her psychic abilities at a very young age, but nobody believed her. She went on to pursue a graduate degree and worked at a law firm, when she decided that she could do more to help people with the aid of her psychic abilities. She agreed to participate in a scientific study about people who could talk to the dead, which was in turn taken up for a TV show by a Hollywood studio. The studio later decided to make a TV show based on her and the cases that she had allegedly helped to solve. ‘Medium’ was a successful, award-winning show, and earned her much fame and criticism too. Her abilities have often been questioned by many experts, but her fame continues.
