Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, businesswoman, inventor, and model from Australia. After starting her career in her native country, she eventually made her way to Hollywood and has found significant success there. A native of the city of Perth, George was initially interested in dancing and artistic roller skating. She started her modelling career in her early teens and earned the title Western Australia's Teenage Model of the Year in 1992. She made her screen debut the following year in an episode of Seven Network’s soap opera ‘Home and Away’. She had her big-screen debut in the mystery thriller ‘Dark City’ and essayed various supporting roles in projects like ‘Alias’, ‘The Limey’, and ‘Down with Love’ before making her first appearance as the female lead in a mainstream Hollywood project in the 2005 remake of ‘The Amityville Horror’.
