Tom Franco is an American actor and artist who founded the Berkeley’s Firehouse Art Collective. He is best recognized as the brother of popular actors Dave and James Franco. As an actor, he has contributed to a number of successful films and documentaries including ‘The Disaster Artist’, ‘Metamorphosis: Junior Year’ and ‘Basket Case 2’. Born in Palo Alto, California to a writer and an entrepreneur, Franco developed a love for painting in his childhood. As a teenager, he took figure-drawing classes at a local art center. He eventually majored in fine art from University of California, Santa Cruz and later enrolled at California College of the Arts to study ceramics. Shortly after, Franco dropped out of the college and collaborated with some of his coursemates to launch Firehouse Art Collective. Seeing his brothers thrive in the entertainment industry, he also started acting in the 1990s.
