Monty Sopp, who is popularly known by his ring name Billy Gunn, is an American professional wrestler, who works for All Elite Wrestling. He had also appeared in the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment for over a decade, from 1993 to 2004, and again from 2012 to 2015. Gunn was born in Orlando, Florida in the US. Before he began his career as a wrestler, he was a professional bull rider, in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Gunn initially played for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling using the ring name Kip James. During his time in the WWE, Gunn had won the Intercontinental Championship once, Hardcore Championship twice, and also the King of the Ring in 1999. The greatest success of his career was as a tag team wrestler, and he had won the World Tag Team Championship eleven times. Sopp is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling, as of 2019, using his most popular ring name Billy Gunn. He works as a booking agent as well.
