Sir William Turner Walton was an English composer. He was the skillful mind behind renowned works like Façade – An Entertainment, the cantata Belshazzar's Feast etc. He belonged to a musical family and music, for him, was an inheritance. He propagated several classical genres and styles and was largely self-taught. His area of work ranged from opera to symphonies to film scores and many more. Though initially criticized for being a modernist, Walton soon gained popularity and all his works were recorded for CD by 2010.
