Blake Fielder-Civil

Description: (British Former Video Production Assistant and Ex-Husband of Late Singer Amy Winehouse)

Blake Fielder-Civil is a British former video production assistant who is best known as the ex-husband of late British singer and songwriter, Amy Winehouse. Her tumultuous relationship with him had been the inspiration for her second and final studio album, Back to Black, released in 2006. The album, which included songs like You Know I’m No Good and Back To Black, went on to become her most celebrated work, winning five Grammy Awards in 2008. Blake Fielder-Civil is well-known for his dependence on heroin and crack and is now remembered by her fans as the person responsible for her untimely death from alcohol poisoning in 2011 at the age of 27. Blake, who had already divorced her in 2009, and was serving a jail term at the time of her death, has claimed that treating him as "some Machiavellian puppet master" is wrong as she had other addictions prior to meeting him.
