Patrick Wilson is an American actor, best known for starring in films such as ‘Insidious,’ ‘Watchmen,’ and ‘The Conjuring.’ He was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to parents who worked in the entertainment industry. His father worked as a news anchor, while his mother was a professional singer. He wanted to become an actor since a tender age and took professional training in acting at the highly respected ‘Carnegie-Mellon University,’ from where he pursued his BFA in drama. He made his acting debut with the 1995 musical ‘Miss Saigon.’ In 2001, he appeared in an unreleased film titled ‘My Sister’s Wedding.’ In 2003, he made his debut TV appearance with the series ‘Angels in America.’ His role as ‘Joe Pitt’ in the series helped him earn many honors.
