Dayton Callie is an American actor and US Navy veteran, best known for essaying the role of Charlie Utter on 'HBO' series 'Deadwood.' The role earned him a 'Screen Actors Guild Awards' nomination. Dayton’s notable television appearances came as former police chief ‘Wayne Unser’ on 'Sons of Anarchy,' and ‘Jeremiah Otto’ on 'Fear the Walking Dead.' Dayton’s first significant role came in 'Abattoir.' Apart from acting, Dayton has a few writing, producing and voice-over credits too. Dayton’s initial days as an actor were extremely difficult. For more than a decade after retirement from Navy, he had no paid job, though he was quite regular in the theater circuit back then. Dayton never intended to become an actor; he was a musician and was making little money out of it. It all changed when he got his first film role. Even though most of his initial roles were uncredited, he nonetheless got to showcase his talent to the filmmakers through auditions.
