Danny Pino is an American actor, best known for playing law enforcement officers in series such as ‘Cold Case’ and ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ Danny was born in Miami, Florida, into a family of Cuban immigrants. He gained an interest in acting during his early teenage years. Following his high-school graduation, he moved to New York and joined the ‘Tisch School of the Arts.’ Following his graduation in 2000, he began auditioning for TV and film roles. He made his debut in 2001, with a small role in the sitcom titled ‘Men, Women & Dogs.’ He had his major career breakthrough when he appeared as ‘Detective Scotty Valens’ in the police-procedural series ‘Cold Case.’ Throughout his TV career, he was mostly known for playing detectives and policemen. He played key and supporting roles in series such as ‘Scandal,’ ‘BrainDead,’ and ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ He made his film debut with the 2002 film titled ‘Point of Origin.’ He then appeared in supporting roles in films such as ‘Between,’ ‘The Lost City,’ and ‘The Burning Plain.’
