She graduated with a BA in European Languages. Thereafter, Abdo joined the German international news network ‘Deutsche Welle,’ where she served as an intern in the ‘Foreign Languages Editorial Department.’ Later, she started hosting sports news for their English and German language services. Kate Abdo then moved to ‘CNN,’ where she anchored the daily program ‘World Sports.’ Later, she moved to ‘Sky Sport News HD’ in Germany. She was the head anchor and the face of the network. Abdo moved to the UK to become a presenter for ‘Sky Sports’ in London. In 2015, ‘Sky Sports’ lent Abdo to ‘Fox Sports’ to cover the ‘FIFA Women’s World Cup.’ She took up a permanent position with them and hosted several events, such as the ‘Champions League’ and the ‘Europa League.’ As a presenter, Abdo has interviewed several sports celebrities such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. She has made a name for herself in the male-dominated sphere.
