Amrita Acharia is a British actor, best known for her performances as 'Dr. Ruby Walker' in 'The Good Karma Hospital' and the handmaiden 'Irri' in 'Game of Thrones.' She is of Nepalese–Ukrainian descent. Acharia aspired to become an actor since her younger days and thus joined the 'Academy of Live and Recorded Arts' to get trained in the art. She soon began receiving good offers and eventually built a strong body of work, consisting of films, TV shows, and theater productions. She gained critical acclaim for her bold performance in the Norwegian film 'I Am Yours.' Acharia then managed to get noticed in the multi-starrer show ‘Game of Thrones.’ However, to her fans' disappointment, the creators, for an unknown reason, decided to end her character on the show abruptly, even though it lived in the book that the show was adapted from. Acharia is associated with a Nepali charitable body that helps trafficked children.
