(Japanese Novelist and Screenwriter) Chōgorō Kaionji was the pen name of a Japanese author known for his historical novels. Born as Tōsaku Suetomi, he was active during the Shōwa period of Japan. He studied at Kokugakuin University and became a teacher. He eventually began writing and found great success in his literary career. In 1968, he won the 16th Kikuchi Kan Prize.
