Susan Flannery is an American actor and director, best known for starring in the American daytime soap operas ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ Born in Jersey City and raised in Manhattan, she graduated college in 1962. After earning her BFA degree in theater arts, she started auditioning for roles. She made her debut in 1963, with a small role in the series ‘Burke’s Law.’ After making a few more minor appearances on TV, she had her first major acting breakthrough in 1966, when she was offered the role of ‘Laura Spencer Horton’ in the popular American daytime soap opera titled ‘Days of Our Lives.’ She appeared on the show for the next 9 years and amassed a huge fan following. In the 1980s, after appearing as ‘Leslie Stewart’ in 11 episodes of the primetime soap ‘Dallas,’ she was offered the role of ‘Stephanie Forrester’ in another popular soap opera, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ Her role in ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ is the role she is best known for. Throughout her career, she has also appeared in a number of films, such as ‘Guns of Diablo’ and ‘The Gumball Rally.’ She is a lesbian and has adopted a girl child.
