Melissa Benoist is an American actress and singer who shot to fame in 2012, for her strong performance as Marley Rose in the comedy drama television series ‘Glee.’ Later in 2015, she was once again applauded for her character role in the CBS/CW drama series ‘Supergirl’. Debuting in the Mariah Carey-starrer film ‘Tennessee’ in 2008, the actress has now come a long way with some good films like ‘Whiplash’, ‘Danny Collins’, ‘The Longest Ride’ and ‘Juvenile’ under her belt. Melissa started her acting career on stage with ‘The Sound of Music’ in 2000, followed by many more plays including ‘Evita’, ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’, ‘As You Like It’ and ‘The Unauthorized Biography of Samantha Brown’. As a singer, she earned acclaim for her songs in the albums ‘Glee: The Music Presents Glease’, ‘Glee: The Music, Season 4, Volume 1,’ ‘Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 3’ and ‘Glee: The Music – The Complete Season Four’.
