Andrew McCabe

Description: (Attorney, Former FBI Deputy Director)

Andrew McCabe is an American attorney and former 'Deputy Director' of the 'Federal Bureau of Investigation' (FBI). He joined the FBI in 1996 and served its SWAT team. He subsequently held management positions of higher offices. McCabe had also served as the 'FBI Acting Director' for a few months in 2017. He, however, resumed to his 'Deputy Director' post after Christopher A. Wray was appointed as the new FBI Director. Throughout his tenure as the 'Deputy Director' of FBI, McCabe had been targeted by Trump on numerous occasions because he supported the 25th amendment to remove Trump. In 2018, the then US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, dismissed McCabe just 26 hours before his scheduled retirement accusing him of leaking classified information to 'The Wall Street Journal' about an investigation into the 'Clinton Foundation.' McCabe denied the indictment and filed a lawsuit saying that Trump politically influenced his dismissal.
