Moon Geun-young is a South Korean actress and model. She started her career at the age of 10 with modelling. From there to becoming ‘Nation’s Little Sister’, she has come quite a long way. She was born in Gwangju, South Korea, and made her on-screen debut with the 1999 documentary film ‘On the Road’ but true fame came to her, when she became a part of drama ‘Autumn in my Heart’ as a child actor. The success continued with further TV roles, such as the young empress Myeongseong in the historical series ‘Empress Myeongsong’. She quickly climbed the ladder of success after that with the film ‘Lover’s Concerto’. After that, many more great opportunities in films and TV came her way and little Moon achieved national prominence with her appearance in a major critical and commercially successful horror film ‘A Tale of Two Sisters’. All the experience which she gained from starting early in the industry, established her as a solid performer later and it eventually got her the Grand Prize at the 2008 SBS Drama Awards.
