Retired German footballer Olaf Thon was mostly known as a central midfielder and played exclusively for Schalke 04 and Bayern Munich throughout his career. He has also managed the German club VfB Hüls. Also known as The Professor, he was part of the 1990 FIFA World Cup-winning German squad.
