Tionne Tenes Watkins, professionally known as T-Boz, is a well-known American singer and songwriter, specializing in pop, R&B, hip hop and soul. Born into a family of performers, she was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia early in her childhood. But all her sufferings could not subdue her spirit and she knew that she would become a performer some day. Her aspiration began to materialize when at the age of 20, she came in contact with Crystal Clear and Liza Lopez. Eventually they formed a hip hop group, which later came to be known as ‘TLC’. Their debut album, 'Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip', was a big hit, peaking at number 14 on the US Billboard 200, making them famous worldwide. It was followed by equally successful, ‘CrazySexyCool’, ‘FanMail’,’ 3D’, and finally ‘TLC’. These apart, she has also released a few solo singles, appeared in movies and on television, produced films and authored two books.
