Sue Lyon was an American actress best known for her performance in the 1962 film ‘Lolita’ for which she received a Golden Globe Award. She was also known for her guest roles in the drama series 'Love, American Style', 'The Virginian', 'Police Story' and 'Fantasy Island'. Born as the last of five kids of her parents, she was raised by her mother following her father’s death when she was just ten months old. She attended Los Angeles City College and Santa Monica City College. During her teens, Lyon moved with her family to Los Angeles with the hope of starting her career in modelling. She got modelling projects and also landed small roles in movies before giving her breakthrough performance in ‘Lolita.’ The actress eventually retired from her career in 1980. Married and divorced five times, Lyon had two kids with her second husband, former footballer Roland Harrison.
