Lara Flynn Boyle is a noted American actress, best known for her role as Donna Hayward in the TV series ‘Twin Peaks’. As a dyslexic child, raised by her divorced mother, she had very difficult childhood; but very soon rose above the situation, developing a keen interest in acting at the age of 12 and debuting in cinema at the age of 16. At eighteen, she graduated from Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and then moved with her mother to Los Angeles, where she started acting in a string of supporting roles. At the age of twenty, she was spotted by director David Lynch, resulting in her role in ‘Twin Peaks’. Thereafter, she continued appearing in various roles both on films and television productions, most significant among them being ‘The Practice’, in which she appeared as Helen Gamble. Although many of her films were box office bombs, her natural talent in acting helped her to survive and she continued performing until the age of forty-four.
