Yuvraj Singh is an Indian international cricketer and all-rounder who bats left-handed in the middle order and can bowl part-time left-arm orthodox spin. He plays in all format of the game for the national team, represents Punjab in domestic cricket, and currently plays for Kings XI Punjab in IPL. He has previously represented a number of IPL franchises and helped Sunrisers Hyderabad in their maiden title claim. The son of a former India cricketer, he learned the game very early on and stormed through the youth ranks fast to bag a spot in the national team. Despite occasional inconsistency, he has time and again proved his worth in the team and rescued India with match-winning performances. His career came to a sudden halt after he was diagnosed with cancer, but he successfully battled the illness and made a strong comeback to cricket, the details of which he recorded in the autobiographical book, ‘The Test of My Life’. He runs his own charity ‘YouWeCan’, which has treated thousands of cancer patients over the years.
