Before relocating to Los Angeles, she began her career as a child model and worked in the Canadian entertainment industry in films like Dancing on the Moon, Airspeed and Believe; series, such as Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Popular Mechanics for Kids, and the telefilm Lucky Girl. Following an appearance in the British romantic comedy Love Actually, she acted in a bunch of Hollywood movies including House of Wax, The Quiet, Captivity, He Was a Quiet Man, and The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.
