Jeffrey Jones is a noted American character actor, known for his diverse roles in numerous films and TV series. He became interested in acting early in his childhood, playing ‘Hamlet’ while in second grade. His love for theater was evident from his numerous visits to the ‘Stratford Theatre’ in Ontario. Following this, he moved to New York City, where he started working in ‘Broadway’ and ‘off-Broadway’ productions. Eventually, he was spotted by Miloš Forman, who cast him as ‘Emperor Joseph II’ in ‘Amadeus’ (1984). Soon, he set off on a successful career in films, becoming widely known for his role of ‘Edward R. Rooney’ in ‘Ferris Bueller's Day Off’ (1986). Two of his important TV projects are ‘Deadwood’ (2004–2006) and ‘Deadwood: The Movie’ (2019).
