Melissa Sue Anderson is a noted American-Canadian actress, especially known for her role in the NBC drama series ‘Little House on the Prairie’. The acting bug caught Melissa quite early in her life. She started attending acting classes around the age of eight at the recommendation of her dance teacher and very soon developed a passion for it. Her family allowed her to do a few commercials, hoping that it would get acting out of her system. However, they were wrong and by the age of nine she started appearing on television series and by the age of eleven bagged a star role, being chosen to play the character of Mary Ingalls Kendallin in ‘Little House on the Prairie ‘. She played the role for seven seasons, concurrently continuing her education under an on-set tutor, finally graduating from high school at the age of fifteen. Along with working for ‘Little House on the Prairie ‘, she pursued other opportunities, appearing in number of television movies and also guest-starring in many television series. After marriage, she decided to focus on motherhood and cut short her acting engagements, appearing in few television series and films now and then. Currently, she lives in Canada and is a Canadian citizen.
