Mick Mulvaney

Mick Mulvaney is an American politician, who has been a ‘White House’ chief of staff and the director of the ‘Office of Management and Budget.’ He was born into a middle-class family and graduated high school from North Carolina. He then attended ‘Georgetown University.’ He later earned a Juris Doctor degree from the ‘University of North Carolina.’ After working at a law firm for a while, he became interested in joining politics in the mid-2000s. He joined the ‘Republican Party’ and won a seat in the ‘House of Representatives,’ representing South Carolina’s 45th congressional district in 2007. After serving 2 years in the ‘State Senate’ of South Carolina, he contested for a seat in the ‘Upper House of the Congress’ and won the elections from South Carolina’s 5th district. He criticized the government’s expenditure on many unnecessary policies and was against ‘Obamacare.’ Impressed with his work, Trump nominated Mick as the director of the ‘Office of Management and Budget.’ In January 2019, he was appointed as the ‘White House’ chief of staff. He was removed from his position in March 2020, following which he was made the United States special envoy for Northern Ireland.
