Melina Kanakaredes is an American actress who is best known for playing detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS police procedural drama series 'CSI: NY', Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series 'Providence' and Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series 'The Resident'. She also received acclaim for her breakthrough television debut role of Eleni Andros Cooper on the CBS soap opera 'Guiding Light'. Her notable film appearances include '15 Minutes', 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief', and 'Snitch'. She is reportedly working on a movie adaptation of writer Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’s autobiography 'The Wheel of Life' with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the pair that wrote the film 'Immortals'.
