Markie Post is a noted American actress known for her roles as the public defender Christine Sullivan in NBC’s sitcom ‘Night Court’, the bail bondswoman Terri Michaels in ABC’s drama series ‘The Fall Guy’ and Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman in CBS’s sitcom ‘Hearts Afire’. Other than acting, she has also worked on a number of game shows. The daughter of scientist Richard F. Post and his poet wife Marylee, Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her two siblings. She studied at Las Lomas High School where she participated in cheerleading. She briefly attended Pomona College and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. On a personal note, Post was earlier married to Stephen Knox. Since 1982, she has been married to actor cum writer Michael A. Ross with whom she has two daughters. A wonderful actress and an ideal wife and mother, Post is an inspiration for many in Hollywood.
