Charisma Carpenter is an American actor, best known for her performance as ‘Cordelia Chase’ in the cult teen series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Angel.’ Though she is a trained ballerina and was a professional cheerleader, Carpenter became an actor only by chance. Discovered by a commercial agent while waiting tables in Los Angeles, Carpenter quickly rose from being a commercial model to being a leading character in one of the most popular fiction dramas of the 1990s. After spending years as ‘Cordelia,’ Carpenter had short-term stints in teen series such as ‘Miss Match,’ ‘Charmed,’ and ‘Veronica Mars.’ Her reality series on ‘Investigation Discovery,’ ‘Surviving Evil’ (originally titled ‘I Survived Evil’), shocked a lot of people. The show featured Carpenter revealing her horrific story of being attacked by a serial rapist when she was 21. It brought to light a side of Carpenter that a lot of viewers did not know about.
