Omri Katz is a retired American actor who grew popular after appearing in the soap opera ‘Dallas’. He began his acting career when he was just seven and won the Soap Opera Digest Award for his portrayal as John Ross Ewing III in ‘Dallas’. Following the success of his first show, Katz received more TV series offers and was seen as a guest actor in ‘Simon & Simon Boy’, ‘The Torkelsons’, and ‘Zorro’. He received his first leading role with the NBC series ‘Eerie, Indiana’ in 1991 as Marshall Teller. Despite its short run, the series grew popular and remained a hit on Disney’s channels. He made his film debut with the hit ‘Matinee’, but his second film ‘Hocus Pocus’ became a cult hit and continues to be mentioned and remembered by many today. His other works include guest roles in ‘Freaks and Geeks’ and ‘General Hospital’ and a recurring role in ‘The John Larroquette Show’. He marked his final appearance on the big screen in 2002 with a short film and announced his retirement from acting. Since then, Katz has been working as a hairdresser in a Los Angeles salon.
