Dakota Mayi Johnson is an American actress and model best-known for playing lead role of Anastasia Steele in the blockbuster hit erotic-romantic-drama film ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and its two sequels. Daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith and granddaughter of actress Tippi Hedren, Dakota made her on-screen debut with the film ‘Crazy in Alabama’ (1999) directed by her stepfather Antonio Banderas. Her mother starred in the film which also featured her half-sister Stella Banderas. She was selected Miss Golden Globe in 2006. She began her modelling career with IMG Models. Following high school graduation she started her acting career through William Morris Agency. The 2010 American biographical-drama film ‘The Social Network’ marked her first box-office hit which was followed by an array of films like ‘Beastly’ and ‘21 Jump Street’. Her big-break came with main role of Anastasia Steele in the film ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, which became a huge worldwide hit garnering her international recognition.
