Mark Richard Hamill is an American actor and voice actor who is famous for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the famous “Star Wars” movie series. Born in Oakland, California, Hamill studied at the Los Angeles City College, where he majored in drama. He was soon cast in the space opera film ‘Star Wars’ which was directed by George Lucas. The film was a huge success commercially and critically. The first film of the famous and critically acclaimed ‘Star Wars’ movie series, the film has earned a cult status over the years. Hamill reprised his role in multiple other films of the franchise. He was most recently seen in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ which grossed more than a billion dollars. He has also voiced the famous DC comics’ supervillian ‘The Joker’ in several animated movies based on Batman, the famous vigilante superhero. A much decorated actor, he has won several awards throughout his career, including two Saturn Awards. Recently, he was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has also been nominated for an Emmy Award and an Annie Award.
