Margaret Mhango Mwanakatwe is a Zambian politician who held the position of Minister of Finance from February 2018 to July 2019. Before entering politics, she had a prosperous career as a businesswoman, accountant, and bank executive. Mwanakatwe worked in various roles in the banking industry, such as serving as the director for business development in Anglophone Africa at the United Bank for Africa in Lagos, Nigeria. She gained extensive experience in managing business development across multiple African countries and also served as the managing director and CEO of United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited.
